A Gift From The Heart

These lovely dishes are my favorite dishes as dishes go I love all sorts but these by far are my favorite. Most of it being sentimental value. Valentines Day 1995, almost 1 month before my husband and I were married, he gave me a 4 piece place setting of these dishes he found at an antique store.

This December 2005 I invited my friend Pat over for tea. I used my good china. Some days later she was at a antique store and saw this exact same pattern on some dishes there.

A few days before Christmas this year Pat came by and said she had a gift for me. I opened the card and the gift which was 1 complete set of dishes...she went on to tell me there were a total of 8 sets she had for me! I immediately burst into years. This gift went straight to the heart! It was really a blessing from God. She had two sets of dishes she no longer needed and sold, and used that $ to buy these dishes for us.

Pat and her husband Bob hold a special place in our lives. They were the first people who welcomed a young teenage boy into the fold (Robert), and we as teenagers and young adults spent countless hours at their house. We now have the privilege of going to the same church together after many years of ministry in different places.

I will forever be grateful of this gift! I now have 12 place settings!
